Cheltenham Town Ladies’ first ever open trial session for aspiring players has been dubbed a ‘resounding success’ by manager Alex Cheal.
The trials attracted 17 new players from ages 16 and above and the newcomers were welcomed by Club staff and some of the current team in glorious evening sunshine at The Folly.
‘The evening was a resounding success for us as a Club. It was decided that we would run the session over a month ago to see if we could entice any new faces to the club and it has benefitted us heading into a new season.’
‘We had players attend from Bristol, Swindon, Worcester and across Gloucestershire. That highlights the appeal of playing for Cheltenham Town Ladies and underpins our position as the region’s leading senior Ladies team. We now look forward to pre-season officially kicking off next Tuesday.’
