The Robinesses are set to face FA Women’s National League Division One South East side Cambridge United .
The two clubs have not faced each other in recent memory, but the tie is set to be an interesting and unique spectacle.
Cambridge United come into the game having won two and lost three of their last five fixtures. The two victories were decisive, beating Chesham United 7-0 and most recently putting bottom-of-the-league Hounslow to the sword in a 12-0 win.
The Cambridgeshire club sit fifth in the FA WNL South-East (Tier Four), eight points shy of promotion, yet 11 points away from the relegation zone.
The Gloucestershire side, on the other hand, have won four of their last five games, with the loss coming in the FA Cup to Plymouth Argyle.
The Robinesses are sixth in their slightly larger National League Southern Premier, with games in hand on the teams either side of them.
The Plate is the last chance for a cup run for Tom Davies’ side, and the Cheltenham Town manager will be looking to secure a spot in the Quarter Finals.
It will have been three weeks on Sunday since Cheltenham Town Ladies have played a competitive match, but a trip to Rectory Park to face Queens Park Rangers last weekend has kept the side fresh with a 4-2 victory.
The weekend could see a competitive club debut for new signing, Libby Davies, who both joined the club last week, with the former joining the club in the friendly last weekend. Other new signing, Laura Holden from Bridgwater United will not be able to make her debut however, due to being cup-tied.
Cambridge United WFC v Cheltenham Town Ladies takes place at St Neots Town FC (postcode: PE19 6SL) at 2pm on Sunday, 4th December.
